Why Are Realtors Calling Me?

Q.  My home has been for sale and just came off market. Now my phone is flooded with Realtor calls. What gives?

A.  What gives is once your home comes off the market and has not been re-listed Realtors will call trying to get your business.  We call that an expired listing.  Unless you extend your current listing agreement or sign a new one prior to your expiration date, you are no longer for sale once your initial listing agreement expires.  Realtors looking for listings will call on the expireds to see if the owner is searching for a new agent.  Speak with your current Realtor if you did not intend for your home to come off the market.  You should also add your phone number to the do not call list if you do not wish to be contacted. Good luck.
