When to Sell Your Oceanfront Home

Q.  My CPA said 2020 is the year to sell my oceanfront home but I'm not sure what to do. What do you think?

A.  Your CPA is probably looking at the same data that I just received which shows we have 14.5 months of inventory for homes in the Jacksonville market priced over one million dollars.  This number has progressively increased and is up 10.7% over the same period in 2018.  With 2020 being an election year, we expect uncertainty in our local housing market which will affect buyer demand especially in the luxury category.  So what does all this mean for you?  With over 14 months of inventory, if you list your home today you may not be moving until after the election. So I would have agree with your CPA.  Good luck.
