What's My True Market Value?
Q. How do I know if my estimated home value showing on a national real estate website is correct?
A. It's not unusual to have your home's estimated value show up incorrectly on these sites. Ask yourself when was the last time someone from one of these websites was in your home to evaluate your interior condition, upgrades and improvements? The answer is never. So how can this number be correct? These websites use an algorithm to estimate your home's value, it's not your true market value. If you want to know your home's value you can obtain it for free by calling your Realtor and ask them for a comparative market analysis (CMA). If you don't have a Realtor, please call me and I'll have one of our associates reach out to you.
