Stay Well During Showings
Q. I'm selling my home and concerned about strangers coming in during cold and flu season. What can I do to protect myself?
A. Before showing property we always ask our buyers if they are pre-qualified but we never ask if they are sick. So upon meeting prospective buyers and their Realtors, avoid shaking hands. Have hand sanitizer and wipes available for your visitors. Disinfect anything they may have touched such as the lockbox, doorknobs, door bell and hand rail. And asking visitors to remove their shoes and to not use the restroom adds additional precautions. But there may be a bright side - if the buyer of your home has a cold, then hopefully they have "cold" hard cash in hand when they arrive. Good luck.
