Will Covid-19 Delay My Sale?

Q. I was planning on selling my home in April and now I'm not sure what to do. Can you help?

A. I wouldn't let the recent events deter you from selling your home. Even during the darkest days after 911 and the great recession, we were still selling homes, just not as many. But here's some good news you won't hear on TV. In March 2009 Jacksonville had 15,826 total active listings, today we have 7,949. In March 2009 interest rates were near 5 percent, today they're in the 3's. And in 2009 we had 14.5 months of inventory, today we have 2.9 months. These are all indicators of a strong sellers market, at least for now. Only time will tell if these numbers hold through our Spring market. Good luck with your home sale and stay well.
