Guess What #Jax, Not All Buyers Are Qualified

Q.  I'm selling by owner. What can I do to ensure only qualified buyers see my home?

A.  Ha, that's a great question and if you find the answer please let me know. The reality is if your home is for sale, whether listed with a Realtor or selling "by owner", you may have un-qualified buyers come through.  Most good Realtors require buyers to have a pre-qualification letter in hand before showing property, but there are some who don't.  So what can you do?  You can ask for a pre-qualification letter prior to all showings. It will be up to you to vet the buyer so it may be a good idea to partner with a good local lender. These steps may slow down your showing activity but could help ease your concerns. Good luck.
